These guys have worked on my truck before.  Clean place and about what my regular mechanic charges. - Moises G (5 star review found on Yelp)

I wish I could give these guys more than five stars.  Their shop is the CLEANEST auto body shop that I've ever been to, and their guys are the NICEST auto mechanics too.  Maybe it's because it's Idaho.  I am from CA, and I never run into such REAL people.  Gotta love Idaho!

My daughter and I were on a road trip from CA to MT to get her settled into Montana State University in Bozeman.  We had the truck packed to the brim. As we pulled into our hotel in Twin Falls, it felt as if we couldn't steer the vehicle.  We parked in a spot and saw liquid dripping from below the engine area.  I immediately assumed that we had lost power steering fluid.

The next morning, I searched Yelp for an auto mechanic.  Blue Lake Auto popped up with four stars.  I called and spoke with the manager.  He said that he was all booked up until Monday.  I explained our situation and then I think he must have took pity on us.  He told us to drive on over.

When we got there, they took care of us right away.  I must say that I was very appreciative of the fact that they didn't laugh their tails off after they figured out what was wrong.  I had accidentally put the truck in 4-wheel drive!  And the liquid that was leaking?  From the condensation on the air conditioning unit of course!  Maybe they laughed at us after we left, but they were true professionals while were there.

If I were a local resident, I would definitely go there for all my auto care needs! - Carla J (5 star review found on Yelp)

Top notch shop. We were passing through the area and about to head south through Nevada and the car started acting up. Found them through Google, and Dale was extremely accommodating in squeezing in a diagnosis. They hustled to get parts, but still took the time to check with Audi to make sure the fix would be complete. Car ran flawlessly the next day, 1000 miles through the desert. Highly recommend. - John H (5 str review found on Yelp)

Tom did a great job on my daughter's suburban during the Thanksgiving holidays.  At every turn there was a new problem but with patience and determination he got it all working. I appreciated the honesty Blue Lakes Auto gave us. Thanks again. Will call if more comes up. And liked the 10% of labor in perks coupon book helped also. - Sandi P (5 star review found on Yelp)

There seems to be a common misconception among many that if you have an aftermarket/extended warranty, that your car, truck, SUV, or Jeep must be taken to a dealership. This is not true. Non-dealership / Independent Automotive repair shops can service and repair your new or UNDER WARRANTY/EXTENDED WARRANTY. As a positive, at our shop, you can get fast service and work with highly trained technicians!  We'd love to take care of your vehicle for you and can do so right here at our automotive shop. Repairs by highly rated and trained automotive technicians with dealer rated diagnostic tools, at BETTER PRICING by a shop that knows you!

It is a law that independent automotive repair shops can maintain and service your warranty. All consumers are protected by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). It prohibits a manufacturer from voiding the new vehicle's warranty or a vehicle's extended warranty because service was performed by a Non-Dealer/Independent Repair shop.

Per the FTC, “It's illegal for a dealer to deny your warranty coverage simply because you had warranty work or routine maintenance or repairs performed by our automotive shop. Routine maintenance can include anything from oil changes, tire rotations and belt replacement, to fluid checks, flushes, new brake pads, and inspections.” It is also important to note that the “Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for a company to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty for the simple cause that you used an aftermarket or recycled part.”

One of the major perks of bringing your vehicle to an independent repair shop is the ability to make your money go further. Many times, warranties will have a limit or a deductible. Our goal is to make your warranty work for you.

Lastly, If you are on the fence about whether or not to purchase an AFTERMARKET or EXTENDED warranty. We suggest opening a savings account for your car and putting back money for possible breakdowns. While warranties are great the limitations can sometimes outweigh the benefits.

Whichever option you may choose we will be there for you every step of the way! We look forward to taking care of your new or under extended/aftermarket warranty, car, truck, SUV, or Jeep right here. Give us a call today!

TRUE OR FALSE? Until your vehicle is out-of-warranty, it must be serviced by the new car dealer or the factory warranty will be void?
